Here's What You Can Expect in the Dakhla Clinic

Eight days of laser-focused kite coaching with just three other kiters, on one of the best flat-water lagoons in the world. Every detail is taken care of so you can focus on progression.

Luxury Living at Dakhla Club

We're staying at Dakhla Club — a beachfront resort sitting right on the Dakhla lagoon. Comfortable rooms, a great restaurant, a pool, gym and spa. It's the perfect base for eight days of riding and recovery.

Your Room

Plenty of Individual Attention

With a max of 4 riders, you get the focus you need to actually level up. 2 hours of focused radio coaching every day and an hour of group video analysis the next morning.

Radio coaching on the water

Radio Coaching

I use BBTalkin radios so we can talk while you're on the water — exactly the feedback you need, right when you need it. If you've got a helmet, I'll clip the radio on. If not, no stress — I've got radio-ready caps for you to use.

Filming kitesurfing for video analysis

Video Analysis

We shoot 4K and slow motion so we can break down your technique frame by frame and figure out exactly what to tweak. You'll walk away with sick clips and a personalized video edit to remember the trip.

The Speed Spot

Most days we'll be kiting at the Speed Spot — Dakhla's world-class flat-water spot. The clinic dates are timed perfectly with the tides to maximize the hours we get on the water at the spot. Refer to the itinerary below for the day-by-day.

With just four of us on the water, we have a dedicated rescue service stationed at the Speed Spot for our group — proper backup, right there if you need it.

How a Typical Day Unfolds

Each day flows the same way — fuel up, dial in, ride hard, recover. Mornings start with yoga, breakfast and video analysis from yesterday's session, followed by a focused theory talk. Then we're out at the Speed Spot for a couple of hours of radio coaching. Evenings are gym (optional) dinners and downtime to let your body catch up. The full day-by-day is in the itinerary below.

What Level Do You Need?

As long as you're riding independently — comfortable riding unsupervised, going upwind without difficulty, and able to retrieve your board when you crash — there's immense value in joining. The Speed Spot is off-shore and while we do have a fantastic rescue service, independent riding is a must. We'll work on laying down strong fundamentals and chasing your goals.

More Than Just a Kite Trip

The goal of this clinic is to bring passionate kiters together in a fun, collaborative environment to push our limits and grow — on and off the water. We train, we eat, we share, and we walk away with new friends and bigger horizons.

Recover at the Spa

Eight days of advanced kiting takes its toll. We'll visit Dakhla Club's spa one of the days to soak, sit and decompress.

Anything specific — a massage, a hammam ritual, a body scrub — is bookable at the spa front desk and not included in the clinic fee.

What You'll Eat at Dakhla Club

Kiting all day means you'll need proper fuel — and the food at Dakhla Club is genuinely incredible.

Breakfast

Big buffet to start the day right: fresh fruit, eggs your way, breads, yogurt, juices, and proper coffee. Everything you need before a long day on the water.

Lunch

Lunch goes with us to the spot most days — quick, fresh, and energy-packed so we don't burn time off the water.

Dinner

Sit-down dinners at the resort at 8pm. The kitchen does Moroccan classics and Mediterranean plates beautifully — expect tagines, fresh fish, salads, and plenty of variety across the week.

Whatever your vibe — meat, seafood, veggie, or vegan — you're going to eat seriously well.

Perfect Conditions to Progress

The butter-flat water at the Speed Spot is what makes this trip work for learning new tricks. Every approach and take-off is consistent, so you can dial in technique fast and lock in progression in eight days that would take months at a normal spot.

Getting to Dakhla

Two routes in: most international travelers connect through Casablanca; a few European cities run direct. Whichever you pick, send us your itinerary once it's booked and we'll meet you at Dakhla airport ourselves — any flight, any time of day, included. The resort is a 30-minute shuttle from there.

CMN

Via Casablanca

Most international routes land in Casablanca (CMN). From there, Royal Air Maroc runs the domestic leg to Dakhla every day — about 2h 20m in the air. Book the connection that fits your route home.

Direct

Direct from Europe

Three European cities run direct to Dakhla in June:

  • Paris Orly — Transavia, year-round
  • Madrid — Ryanair, May–October
  • Gran Canaria — Binter Canarias, year-round

If you can route through one of these, it's a single hop in.

CORE XR8 kite

Try the Latest CORE Gear

I bring extra XR's and bars to my clinic so you can see what all the fuss is about. We're talking about highly technical, aerodynamic wings and some of them are simply better than others.

CORE is not the only great kite out there, but I choose to ride CORE because I've found the performance and the quality of the gear beats everything else I've ever ridden. If you're looking to ride the best gear, I'm happy to give you the opportunity!

I still ask that you bring all your own gear, as there is limited demo gear available and we have to share.

FAQs

As long as you are able to ride independently (can ride upwind without difficulty and you can retrieve your board when you crash), you will find immense value in joining the clinic. The spot is off-shore and while we do have a fantastic rescue service, independent riding is a must.

You can check in a few days earlier or check out a few days later, subject to availability at Dakhla Club. Just let me know in advance and I'll arrange it.

Yes — Dakhla Club has WiFi throughout the property. It's solid for browsing, messaging, and most work tasks.

Once you book, all payments are non-refundable. If you have to cancel, I'll attempt to sell the spot. If I find a buyer, I'll refund what I recover (less credit card fees). If I can't sell it, I can't refund.

Dakhla Club is a 3-minute drive from the infamous Speed Spot. We have 2 SUVs on the trip for easy, daily access to the spot.

Most Western passport holders (EU, UK, US, Canada, Australia, NZ, etc.) don't need a visa to enter Morocco for stays up to 90 days. Check your country's current requirements before you book. Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival.

Everything's paid for — a credit or debit card will cover anything else. Bring some cash if you'd like to leave tips for staff during the trip.

Morocco uses 220V with Type C/E plugs (the same two-round-pin sockets used across continental Europe). Bring a universal travel adapter to be safe.
