10 days on Masirah Island

10-19 July 2025

Here's the game plan!

Join me on Masirah Island for a 9 days of laser-focused kite coaching with just 5 other kiters!
Every detail is taken care of to maximize your progression, comfort and enjoyment 🚀🌴

Plenty of individual attention

We’ve got 2 coaches on the trip and I limit the clinic to 6 riders (with 2 coaches) so that we can give you the focus you need to achieve your goals.

You will get 2 hours of radio coaching every day and 1 hour of group video analysis.

Livin' it up at the beach

You’re coming for a kite clinic, so we’re going to spend as much time kiting as possible! That means time at the beach!

To make our time at the beach an absolute pleasure, we’ve got a wonderful Arabic tent waiting for us at the beach every day, our own private portable bathroom, and 2 beach-staff to tend to our needs.

Here’s a detailed itinerary. I’ve designed the trip to suit the wind and the tides.

Book now before it's too late

We're staying at the Masirah Island Resort

It’s the best accommodation on island, and while not ultra-luxury, the resort strikes a practical balance—delivering a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere with enough amenities to feel well taken care of after long days on the water.

Accommodation is clean and comfortable, with air-conditioned rooms, private balconies, and sea views in select units. The resort features a swimming pool, shaded outdoor spaces, a simple gym and an on-site restaurant where we’ll eat breakfast every morning before heading out to conquer the skies!

More than just a kite trip

The goal of this clinic is to bring passionate kiters together in a fun, collaborative environment to work on being the best versions of ourselves. It’s a trip in which we will progress as kiters, push ourselves to learn new things and probably even walk away with life-long friendships.

Radio coaching

We use BBTalkin radios so that we can talk to each other whilst you’re on the water. We give you exactly the advice you need, right when you need it! If you have a helmet, we’ll stick our BBTalkin on the helmet. If not, we’ve got caps.

Video Analysis

Seeing yourself riding is a crucial step for progression! We shoot high resolution (4K), slow motion footage. So we can dissect every detail of your kiting to find out what we need to do to level up!

Plus, you’ll get sick clips to remember this amazing trip.

What You’ll Eat on Masirah

Kiting all day means you’ll need serious fuel — and on Masirah Island, we’ll eat like kings.

Whether you’re into meat, seafood, vegetarian or vegan meals — they’ve got us covered.

Incredible seafood like lobster, scallops, and fresh-caught fish.

Hearty dishes like chicken, mutton, and camel for the adventurous.

South Asian comfort food — curries, biryani, paratta, naan.

Omani and regional favorites full of spice and soul.

For food lovers, it’s another highlight of the trip.

The perfect conditions for you to progress

There are a few epic spots on the island. We’ll spend our time between 2 or 3 of them.

The water’s warm, we’ve got plenty of flat water and the occasional small kicker.

I give it 95% chance that we will get to kite every day, without fail. We might need to have some hours on the bigger kites (12m or 13.5m), which would actually be great for progression. Please consult the below table to see what kites you should bring.

Which sizes you'll need

These sizes are assuming you are riding a bow/delta kite (CORE XR, Duotone Rebel/Evo, Naish Pivot, Ozone Edge, North Orbit).

If you are riding a more C-shaped kite like a GTS, Nexus, Dice, etc. then you can add 1 meter to the sizes you see below.

Intermediate kiter Expert kiter
Small (<70kg) Regular (70–85kg) Large (85kg+) Small (<70kg) Regular (70–85kg) Large (85kg+)
Very strong wind 6 7 8 7 8 8/9
Strong wind 8 9 9 9 9/10 10
Light to moderate wind 12 12 13.5 12 13.5 13.5

How you get there

It’s easy! Fly to Muscat International Airport by 10 July.

Then we’ll take a 50 minute flight (on an Airbus A320, operated by SalamAir) to Masirah Island.

I recommend getting into Muscat by 12pm on 10 July at latest, just to be on the safe side.

The flight costs €21 (9 OMR) and is not included in the trip.

(If for some reason you aren’t able to take this flight, we can arrange to have you driven from Muscat to Masirah)

Try the latest CORE gear

I bring extra XR’s and bars to my clinic so you can see what all the fuss is about. I’ve heard people say that great riders could even shred on an IKEA bag, but that simply isn’t true. We’re talking about highly technical, aerodynamic wings at the end of the day and some of them are simply better than others. CORE is not the only great kite out there, don’t get me wrong. I’ve enjoyed riding other kites, but I choose to ride CORE because I’ve found the performance and the quality of the gear beats everything else I’ve ever ridden. If you’re looking to ride the best gear, I’m happy to give you the opportunity! I still ask that you bring all your own gear, as there is limited demo gear available and we have to share.

FAQs

As long as you are able to ride independently and you aren’t a total beginner, you will find immense value in joining the clinic.

Sure thing! Please keep us in the loop.

There’s decent wifi at the resort. It’s good enough for video calls and streaming.

Internet at the beach isn’t a guarantee.

You can cancel any time before making the final payment and receive a full refund. The final payment is due 2 weeks from when you book the trip.

If you cancel after making the final payment, I will attempt to sell the spot. If I manage to sell it (after selling any remaining spots I have), I will give you a refund (less credit card fees). If I am not able to sell it, then I can’t offer a refund.

Unfortunately I can’t offer a more flexible cancellation policy without exposing myself to too much risk. Thanks for your understanding.

Cancellations do happen from time to time and I’ve always managed to sell the spot and refund my guests, but it’s not a guarantee.

We’re 30 minutes from Monkey Bay (one of the windiest spots) and 10 minutes from the harbor (another epic spot which we will kite if the conditions are suitable)

You can apply for an e-visa here. I suggest getting 26B Tourist Visit Visa.

You can see which visas you’re eligible for here.

Most expenses are already covered in the trip, but I suggest having a bit of cash or credit card on you in case you want to purchase some things when we’re in town. You can draw cash at the ATM’s in town if need be.

The standard mains voltage in Oman is 240V at a frequency of 50Hz. These are the plugs they use:
